Alaye is one of four tracks on REAL, Vol. 1, the joint EP from Wizkid and Asake released January 23, 2026 under Starboy Entertainment, Giran Republic and EMPIRE. The word alaye is Yoruba street slang for someone who is streetwise, sharp, someone who understands how the world actually works as opposed to how people pretend it does. It's a term of respect in Nigerian street culture — calling someone alaye is acknowledging they have their eyes open.
