YAYO is track 4 on HEIS, Rema's second studio album, released July 10, 2024 through Mavin Records, Jonzing World and Interscope Records. Produced by P.Priime, it runs 2 minutes 30 seconds and was singled out by Mavin Records themselves as a "psychedelic earworm teeming with youthful exuberance and brazen lyricism" — one of the album's focus tracks alongside the title cut.
The eleven-track album was recorded at New York's Electric Lady Studios and arrived after Rema's breakout year in 2023, which saw him become the highest-charting Afrobeats artist in Billboard Hot 100 history off the back of Calm Down, a Guinness World Record holder, and the first African artist to ever perform at the Ballon d'Or ceremony in Paris. YAYO reels off those accomplishments in Rema's own words, fitting into HEIS's broader narrative of an artist demanding recognition on his own terms.
