March Am is the opening track on HEIS, Rema's second studio album, released July 10, 2024 through Mavin Records, Jonzing World and Interscope Records. Co-produced by Rema and P.Priime, it runs 2 minutes 23 seconds and announces the album's intensity from the first bar — heavy drums, invigorating car-revving sound effects, and growls layered over a synth-heavy instrumental that sets the tone for the rest of the project.
NME's Kyann-Sian Williams singled out March Am and AZAMAN for taking the album into "unknown territory," describing Rema as reaffirming himself as "a true rhythm scientist" through the blend of orchestral strings and thumping drums. The track followed lead single Benin Boys and second single HEHEHE, both released ahead of the album, and confirmed HEIS as a fully realised statement of Rema's self-coined Afro-rave sound — wilder and more intense than the more accessible Rave & Roses era that preceded it.
