Bad Girl is one of sixteen tracks on Morayo, Wizkid's sixth studio album released November 22, 2024 under Starboy Entertainment and RCA Records. It features Asake — and importantly, by the time this album dropped Asake was no longer a YBNL signee. He had already begun operating independently under his own GIRAN Republic label, which makes this collab a meeting of two independent Afrobeats heavyweights rather than a label crossover.
Where Slow takes you inward and slows everything down, Bad Girl moves differently. The energy is looser, more playful, with Wizkid leaning into the flirtatious register he does better than almost anyone in the Nigerian music space. Asake brings his signature Yoruba melodic delivery and the two complement each other well — their chemistry on this track is some of the best on the whole project, which is part of why REAL, Vol. 1, their joint EP, felt like such a natural next step when it dropped in January 2026.

Ayra Starr Ft. WizKid – Gimme DatMorayo as an album was one of the most significant Nigerian releases of 2024. Dedicated to Wizkid's late mother Jane Morayo Balogun, it occupied the entire top 17 spots on Apple Music Nigeria on release day — a record at the time. Bad Girl sits comfortably within that broader project as one of the more accessible, immediately enjoyable tracks, the kind that works whether you're paying close attention or just letting the album run.
If you enjoyed Turbulence, Iskolodo or Alaye from the REAL, Vol. 1 EP, Bad Girl gives you a preview of how that creative partnership between Wizkid and Asake was already developing on Morayo. Rating: 8.5/10.
