Slow is one of sixteen tracks on Morayo, Wizkid's sixth studio album released November 22, 2024 under Starboy Entertainment and RCA Records. Produced by P2J, P.Prime and AoD, it features French-Gabonese singer-songwriter Anaïs Cardot — not a household name in Nigeria yet, but someone who had already worked with Asake on Lungu Boy that same year, contributing to "My Heart" and co-writing "Mood." That Asake connection is how many Nigerian fans first discovered her.
The production is deliberate and unhurried — soft piano layered over bass and snare drums, building a warm, almost meditative groove. This is Wizkid in his most restrained mode, which is also his most compelling. Slow doesn't try to hit you over the head. It eases in, stays at its own pace, and trusts the listener to come to it. Anaïs Cardot's vocals are the right complement to that approach — velvety and controlled, not competing with Wizkid but moving alongside him.
