Energy is track 3 on Soundman Vol. 2 (S2), Wizkid's four-track EP released December 22, 2023 under RCA Records and Starboy Entertainment. The EP also goes by S2 and serves as the follow-up to his 2019 Soundman Vol. 1. Produced by P.Priime, Energy is a solo Wizkid record — no features on this track, though the EP includes Wande Coal on Ololufe and Zlatan on IDK.
Davido actually announced the S2 EP on Wizkid's behalf before Wizkid confirmed it himself — a small but telling moment about the camaraderie between Nigerian music's two biggest names despite years of perceived rivalry from fans. The EP arrived on December 22, right in time for Lagos's famed party season, a deliberate timing choice that mirrors how Wizkid dropped Soundman Vol. 1 in December 2019.
