Diamonds is track 2 on Wizkid's Soundman Vol. 2 (S2) EP, released December 22, 2023 under RCA Records and Starboy Entertainment. It features Oladapo — a singer who had been building quietly in the Nigerian music scene and whose collaboration with Wizkid on this track introduced him to a much wider audience.
The EP arrived right in time for Lagos party season, a deliberate move that mirrors how Wizkid dropped Soundman Vol. 1 in December 2019. Apple Music described the S2 project as bearing all the hallmarks of his global explosion since 2020, and Diamonds is the track that leans most into that warm, romantic energy. Where Ololufe (track 1) opened the EP with a more reflective feel through Wande Coal's vocals, Diamonds shifts into something lighter and more optimistic.
