Lalala is the opening track on Blue Disco, Young Jonn's sophomore studio album, released November 21, 2025 under Chocolate City Music and EMPIRE. Produced by Larry Lanes and running 2 minutes 58 seconds, it opens the album's 21-track run with shimmering synth pads, crisp Afropop drums, playful guitar plucks and airy electronic textures built around Rema's floating melodic delivery and Young Jonn's hook-laced vocals. Young Jonn described Blue Disco's ambition directly: "This album is me at my most honest. It's sweat, sleepless nights, and everything I've learned about resilience. Blue Disco is about survival over perfection. I wanted to make something that could live anywhere and still feel like home."
Lalala placed on Apple Music's Afrobeats Hits, Afrobeats Hits: Best of 2025, Africa Now and Africa Now: Best of 2025 playlists, confirming it as one of the album's most-recognised moments editorially. The 21-track Blue Disco brings together Wizkid on Cash Flow, Asake on Che Che, Olamide on Level Up, Focalistic on 2Factor, Shenseea, Franglish, Zlatan and DJ Tunez — a feature list that Apple Music described as helping Young Jonn "plot a coup on the sound of mainstream Afropop," anchored by syncopated basslines, gliding hi-hats and his signature strings.
Rating: 8.5/10.
