Tml Vibez Artist Profile

Full Name: Timileyin Sulaimon
Origin: Lagos State (born 2000)
Genres: Afrobeats, Street-Hop, Afro-Fusion
Label: Vibez Inc (founded by Seyi Vibez) — first artist signed

The First Signing

Being the first artist signed to someone else's label carries a specific pressure — no roster to learn from, no precedent. When Seyi Vibez launched Vibez Inc, TML Vibez was the first name on it, and everything since has effectively been a live test of whether that initial bet was right. He has deliberately kept his early education and personal life private; what he's chosen to let the public see is the music.

Grateful Sinner to Timileyin

His formal debut came in March 2023 with Grateful Sinner, a single that signalled more range than a typical street-pop newcomer — enough to get him noticed by Seyi Vibez and signed to Vibez Inc. In December 2023, he released his debut EP, Timileyin (his own name as the title), which reached the top three on the Apple Music album chart. The breakout track, Goated, featured Seyi Vibez himself. Reviewers note that TML Vibez's delivery can sound close to his mentor's, but also point to several tracks on the EP that sound genuinely original — the tension between influence and individuality that usually defines an artist this early into a major mentorship.

Xin Mao and the Deluxe Run

2024 brought his second project, the six-track EP Xin Mao, featuring Taves, Lasmid, Bella Shmurda and Seyi Vibez. By early 2025 he released a deluxe edition adding tracks like NSNV Vibe and Giran Vibe — direct homages to Asake and Seyi Vibez, situating himself explicitly within a lineage he reveres rather than tries to distance from.

Recognition

In February 2025, Apple Music named TML Vibez the face of their Afrobeats Hits playlist. That same January, he signed as a Cardtonic brand ambassador with his own fan promo code — commercial appeal extending well past streaming numbers.

Where He Stands Now

His catalogue continues to grow with collaborations like On God featuring Seyi Vibez and ODUMODUBLVCK, and his most recent single, Gbadun (covered separately on this blog), follows the two-track run of 4 U and Amiri (Trumpet). What's notable about his trajectory is how deliberately Vibez Inc has built him — through a sustained sequence of EPs, deluxe editions and carefully chosen guest features, each widening his lane without rushing him past his actual audience. As the label's first signing, that patience is both a vote of confidence in him specifically and the clearest evidence yet that Vibez Inc knows how to build an artist properly.
