POE is the second single from RnB, the joint EP by Ruger and BNXN, released April 11, 2024 under Blown Boy Entertainment, T.Y.E and EMPIRE. Produced by Blaisebeatz, it followed lead single Romeo Must Die (RMD) and arrived as confirmation of one of Afrobeats' most unexpected reconciliations — Ruger and BNXN had been locked in a highly publicised online feud since August 2022, fuelled by rival fan bases, before squashing it after a chance meeting on a flight to London and recording the entire RnB project in just three days.
POE pairs Ruger's melodic, slang-heavy flow with BNXN's smooth, soulful vocals, the two trading lines over an Afrobeats instrumental that leans into both artists' strengths without forcing either into the other's lane. The chemistry between them is obvious throughout, and it's part of why RnB worked as a statement even where critics felt the project didn't fully reckon with the story behind its own existence.
