Believe was released September 30, 2025 as a promotional single from Adekunle Gold's sixth studio album Fuji, which arrived in full October 3, 2025 under his own label Somtin Different and Believe Recordings. The song followed Bobo featuring Lojay and Shoday, which had dropped September 5 and become a genuine street anthem driven by amapiano-inspired log drums, Lagos slang, and a three-way chemistry between Adekunle Gold's storytelling, Lojay's melodic warmth and Shoday's raw delivery.

Fuji, the album, is a backronym for Finding Uncharted Journeys Inside, and the project blends Afrobeats with apala, tungba and traditional Fuji music alongside R&B and amapiano touches. Adekunle Gold has described his evolving sound as Electro Fuji, a description that carried forward into his April 2026 reunion single Formation with his former YBNL label boss Olamide — a collaboration fans had wanted for years.
