French police arrested an Egyptian Olympic wrestler in the early hours of Friday, August 9, in Paris on suspicion of s3xual assault.
The incident occurred outside a café in the French capital, where the wrestler allegedly touched the butt0cks of another customer, according to a statement from the Paris prosecutor’s office.
The wrestler, whose name has not been disclosed, was taken into custody following the alleged incident. An investigation has been launched to further examine the circumstances surrounding the accusation.
A senior official from the Egyptian Olympic delegation stated that they were unaware of the arrest and, as a result, could not provide any comment on the matter.
