Nicki Minaj’s older brother Jelani Maraj has been convicted of felony sexual assault against a child on Thursday 9th November in Long Island, New York.
Maraj faces 25 years to life in prison, according to TMZ reports, Maraj has also been convicted of endangering the welfare of a child. He is scheduled to be sentenced on December 14th.
The child, who was 11 at the time of the alleged crime, was the daughter of Maraj’s then-wife Jacqueline Robinson, making her Maraj’s stepdaughter. The girl, who’s now 14, testified during the trial, as did her younger brother.
Police said they found Maraj’s semen on the girl’s pajamas, but the defense claimed the girl and her mother planted the evidence. Maraj’s lawyer also claimed the mother and daughter tried to shake down Maraj and his high-profile sister for $25 million.
